If you are comparing ERPNext, Odoo or another ERP for a business in Qatar, begin with the processes you need to run. A software name alone does not tell you whether a proposed implementation covers your reporting, integrations, data migration and support requirements.

Map the work before comparing proposals

List the departments and workflows in scope: accounting, sales, purchasing, inventory, HR, payroll, manufacturing or projects. For each workflow, record who uses it, what approvals are needed, what information enters the system and which reports the team must produce.

Ask for a demonstration using your scenarios

Prepare a small set of real business examples with sample data. Ask each supplier to demonstrate how the proposed solution handles those journeys. Record what is available in the proposed edition, what needs configuration, what requires custom development and what remains outside the scope.

Compare the complete project cost

Agree who will own configuration and documentation, how your team will be trained, and how updates and new requirements will be handled. Include backups, recovery responsibilities and support arrangements in the discussion.
